Artisun Solar, a leading commercial solar developer, has announced the completion of one of the largest rooftop solar projects in Oklahoma. The project was developed for Steel & Pipe Supply Co. at their Catoosa facilities and represents a significant advancement for renewable energy infrastructure in the state. The solar installation spans two separate locations. At the Fort Gibson Road warehouse, Artisun Solar installed a 1,250-kilowatt (kW) system, while a 950-kW system was set up at the Bird Creek Avenue facility. Together, the two systems have a combined capacity of 2,200 kW.
Over their expected lifespan, these installations are projected to offset more than 58,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, making a substantial environmental impact. By converting their expansive rooftop spaces into energy-generating assets, Steel & Pipe Supply Co. has taken a major step towards sustainable operations. This initiative not only strengthens the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility but also positions it as a leader in energy innovation within Oklahoma’s industrial sector.

The solar systems are designed to lower Steel & Pipe Supply’s annual energy costs significantly. Importantly, the project was completed without causing any disruptions to the company’s daily activities, ensuring a seamless transition to solar energy. The completion of this project marks a key milestone for Artisun Solar and highlights the growing role of solar power in supporting industrial businesses across Oklahoma.
