Tata Power-D has released a Request for Selection (RfS) on April 29, 2025, inviting bids for the supply of 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) power from grid-connected renewable energy projects equipped with Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The project will be implemented under a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process.

The selection process aims to support India’s renewable energy goals by ensuring reliable, round-the-clock green power through a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model. The selected developers will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power-D.

Bidders must propose a minimum capacity of 50 MW and can go up to the full 250 MW. However, for projects located in the North-Eastern States or connected to Maharashtraโ€™s Intra-State Transmission System (InSTS), the minimum bid capacity is 25 MW. Bids must be submitted in multiples of 10 MW.

To participate, bidders must pay a non-refundable RfS document fee of โ‚น25,000 plus 18% GST and a bid processing fee of โ‚น2 lakh plus 18% GST per project. These payments must be made via NEFT or RTGS.

The bidding process will be conducted online through the ISN-ETS portal. Only registered bidders on this platform will be allowed to participate. Tata Power-D reserves the right to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage.

This initiative aligns with the governmentโ€™s strategy to improve grid reliability, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and promote sustainable energy development in India.
