The Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Limited, a subsidiary of MPBCDC and a Government of Maharashtra undertaking, has issued a Notice Inviting Tender for an important infrastructure project in the Vidarbha region. The tender calls for bids for land development and power evacuation works for a 3 MW solar power project meant for the National Cancer Institute in Nagpur. The project site is located at Kelapur in Wardha district, and the scope of work includes essential civil and electrical tasks. These involve land cutting and filling, clearing existing foliage, and the development of internal roads and a proper drainage system. The tender also covers the complete power evacuation and transmission infrastructure up to the interconnection point of the State Transmission Utility, along with the establishment of a 33 kW substation.
The tender requires bidders to meet several financial conditions. The bid document fee is fixed at โน11,800, which includes GST. An Earnest Money Deposit of โน4 lakhs must be submitted by each bidder as a security measure. In addition, the successful contractor will need to provide a Contract Performance Security Guarantee equal to five percent of the total EPC contract value. This performance security must remain valid for at least sixty days beyond the defect liability period. To qualify, bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least Rs 1 crore for the past three financial years, covering FY22-23, FY23-24, and FY24-25. They must also show a positive net worth in the most recent financial year.
The procurement timeline provides several key dates for participants. Bid documents became available for download on December 10, 2025, at 15:00 hours, and the download window will close on December 29, 2025, at the same time. A pre-bid meeting was held on December 15, 2025, to address queries from interested parties. The deadline for online bid submission is December 29, 2025, at 15:00 hours. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on December 30, 2025, at 16:00 hours. The date for opening the price bid will be announced later.
The selected contractor will be allotted 100 days for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phase, which includes land development and the power evacuation system. This will be followed by a five-year period during which the contractor must handle the operation and maintenance of the evacuation line and switchyard. The project is expected to support renewable energy infrastructure while serving a critical public health institution in Maharashtra.
