Scatec ASA Breaks Ground With Botswana’s First Utility Solar PV Facility

Botswana witnessed a historic moment as the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mmadinare Solar Cluster marked the debut of the first utility solar PV facility in the country.

Esteemed guests, including His Excellency the President of Botswana, the Norwegian Ambassador to Botswana, representatives from the IFC – International Finance Corporation, FNB Botswana, RMB – Rand Merchant Bank, the CEO of Botswana Power Corporation, the Minister of Minerals and Energy, alongside local stakeholders and community members, gathered to celebrate this monumental occasion.
