ACME Solar Holdings has secured long-term financing of ₹2,300 crore to support the expansion of its renewable energy portfolio in India. The funding has been provided by the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID), a government-backed development finance institution focused on strengthening infrastructure investment across the country. The financial arrangement has been structured as a 15-year term loan, offering the company stable and long-duration capital to support its clean energy growth plans.

The financing is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening ACME Solar’s renewable energy pipeline and improving the financial stability of its operational assets. Renewable energy projects typically require large capital investments at the beginning, while revenue generation happens gradually over several years. Because of this structure, long-term financing options are extremely important for project developers. The extended tenure of this loan will allow ACME Solar to manage its assets more efficiently while continuing to expand its renewable energy capacity.

ACME Solar has built a strong presence in India’s renewable energy sector with a diversified portfolio of solar power projects located across multiple states. The company has been actively developing and operating large-scale solar installations that supply electricity to utilities and commercial customers. With the newly secured funding, ACME Solar is expected to accelerate construction of upcoming projects while also optimizing the financing structure of its existing operational assets.

The participation of NaBFID reflects growing institutional confidence in India’s renewable energy sector. Development finance institutions are increasingly playing a key role in supporting infrastructure projects that require long-term capital and stable financial backing. Their involvement helps bridge the funding gap that often exists in large-scale clean energy developments.

As India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity to meet rising electricity demand and climate commitments, investments like this are becoming increasingly important. The ₹2,300 crore financing will help ACME Solar strengthen its contribution to the country’s clean energy transition while supporting the broader goal of building a more sustainable and reliable power system.
