WFW Advises Lenders on Landmark Syndicated Loan for Lhyfe Group’s Green Hydrogen Ventures

WFW provided counsel to arrangers and lenders on a groundbreaking corporate syndicated loan for Lhyfe Group, a prominent global figure in green and renewable hydrogen production listed on Euronext.

This pioneering syndicated loan, structured by Crรฉdit Agricole Group as the Green Structuring Advisor, arranger, and lender, in collaboration with HSBC, Groupe BPCE, and Crรฉdit Mutuel Ocรฉan, marks a significant step in financing green and renewable hydrogen ventures in France.

The funds from this loan, repayable at maturity, will empower Lhyfe to establish new green hydrogen facilities. The objective is to drive decarbonization efforts in industries and transportation, positioning Lhyfe as a frontrunner in green hydrogen production across Europe, notably in France and Germany by 2025.

Operating in 12 European nations, Lhyfe is deeply committed to energy transition and serves as a key producer and distributor of green and renewable hydrogen. Their array of production sites and ongoing projects are poised to deliver substantial quantities of green and renewable hydrogen, facilitating the transition towards an environmentally sustainable energy model, especially within industrial sectors and transportation.

The WFW Paris Finance team, led by Partner Philippe Wolanski and supported by Associates Valentine Andaloro and Pauline Deforges, provided advisory services to the banks, while Lhyfe received legal guidance from a Linklaters team spearheaded by Partner Cyril Abtan, along with support from Tianzi Ye and Lรฉonie Mathon-Lagresle.
